UP Police tighten security; restrictions on flying objects till April 29

Varanasi, April 27 (H.S.): Security arrangements have been intensified in Varanasi ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed two-day visit, with authorities imposing strict restrictions to ensure safety and maintain law and order.
A prohibitory order has been enforced across the district under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), which will remain in effect until May 18. The order aims to prevent any untoward incidents during the high-profile visit.
In view of the Prime Minister’s arrival, the police have imposed a complete ban on the operation of drones and other flying objects without prior permission within the Varanasi Commissionerate area until April 29.
The banned items include drones, kites, balloons of any kind, remote-controlled microlights, aircraft, and paragliders. The order was issued by the Police Commissionerate on Monday.
Strict Action for Violations
Authorities have warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found violating these restrictions. The police have also appealed to citizens to cooperate with security arrangements and adhere to the guidelines.
The public has been urged to immediately report any suspicious activity, object, or individual to the nearest police station, dial 112, or contact the police control room to enable prompt action.
