Grand event to mark formation of new government after Assembly elections

Guwahati, May 6 (H.S.): The swearing-in ceremony of the new Chief Minister of Assam is scheduled to be held on May 12 at Khanapara in a grand event marking the formal formation of the new government following the Assembly elections.
According to official sources, the ceremony will be organised on a large scale, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to attend along with other senior leaders.
Preparations Underway
Ahead of the event, two central observers are set to arrive in Assam on May 9 to oversee the process of selecting the leader of the BJP Legislative Party.
Senior BJP leaders J.P. Nadda and Nayab Singh Saini are expected to play a key role in the selection process. The elected leader of the legislative party will subsequently take oath as the Chief Minister.

The swearing-in ceremony will mark a significant political milestone in the state, as the newly elected government assumes office following the conclusion of the Assembly elections.
