Incident Details
According to submissions before the court, the child was allegedly lured away by a neighbour on March 16 under the pretext of buying chocolate. She was later found in an injured and unconscious state and succumbed to her injuries.
Accountability and Legal Action
The Supreme Court indicated that it would examine the role of both the police and medical institutions in the case. It stressed the need for accountability and adherence to legal and procedural standards in handling such sensitive matters.
Public Impact
The case has sparked outrage and renewed concerns over child safety, policing standards, and access to emergency medical care. It also highlights the importance of timely intervention and responsible conduct by institutions dealing with vulnerable victims.
Conclusion
